Important Tips

Application Instructions

The following information is intended to assist you throughout the application process. It is particularly important that you carefully read all instructions in full. Please ensure that all required documents listed below are prepared prior to submitting your application:

  1. Documents Required for Undergraduate Programs:
  • A secondary school diploma or an equivalent certificate
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV): Including personal information, educational background, and work experience
  • Cover Letter: Indicating the academic program you intend to apply for.
  • A high-quality scanned copy of the main page of your passport (PDF, JPEG, or PNG format)
  • A recent passport-size photograph
  • Language Requirements: Proof of English proficiency through TOEFL or IELTS 

 

  1. Documents Required for Postgraduate Programs:

Graduation Certificates and Academic Records:

  • Academic Transcripts: Applicants must submit official transcripts from previously attended institutions. There is no minimum GPA requirement for admission; however, competitive applicants typically have a GPA of 3.00 or higher.
  1. B.Sc. degree and secondary school (or equivalent) certificates for M.Sc. applicants
  2. M.Sc. and B.Sc. (or equivalent) certificates for Ph.D. applicants
  3. M.B.B.S./M.D. (or equivalent) certificates for specialty programs
  4. M.B.B.S./M.D. and specialty (or equivalent) certificates for subspecialty or fellowship programs
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV): Including personal information, educational background, and work experience
  • Cover Letter: Clearly stating the intended program of study
  • A high-quality scanned copy of the main page of your passport (PDF, JPEG, or PNG format)
  • A recent passport-size photograph
  • Language Requirements: Proof of English proficiency through TOEFL or IELTS

Note:

Applicants who do not meet the minimum language requirements are still eligible to apply. If admitted to GMU, they will be required to take a language placement test upon arrival to assess their English and Persian speaking and reading skills. Based on the test results, applicants may be required to attend language courses corresponding to their proficiency level.
